Cacti is the current standard-bearer of open source network graphing, and it takes the original goals of MRTG to whole new levels.Ĭacti is a LAMP application that provides a complete graphing framework for data of nearly every sort. MRTG begat RRDTool, which is the self-contained round-robin database and graphing solution in use in a staggering number of open source tools today. I have seen there is a template for FlexLM ( ) and we have attempted to set this up but have not had any luck, I assume it is because it is more targeted towards running FlexLM on a Linux server rather than Windows. We've nearly completed the move to Zabbix but have not yet been able to set anything up for our License monitoring and this is a big requirement from management as they use these graphs to determine whether the need to purchase more etc. I am unsure how nagios was able to do this as it was set up by a previous staff member who had left many years ago and didn't document the setup. Previously we had been using Nagios to monitor the usage of these licenses but we are moving our monitoring system to be Zabbix.
Our organization uses FlexLM licenses for some of our CAD software, these FlexLM servers are running on Windows servers.
